She has medium-length wavy Brown Hair with Blunt Bangs, and Brown Eyes with Pince-Nez Glasses.
Her default outfit is similar to her sister Littorio (Kancolle): a white Sleeveless Shirt with additional Detached Sleeves and a White Capelet, Grey Corset, Red Skirt, White Thighhighs with Garter Straps and red horizontal stripes, white Headdress, and grey-green Rudder Footwear. Her Rigging is a split hull with the Regia Marina's historic red-white bow stripes, her three 381 mm triple gun mounts, and additional Anti-Aircraft Guns at kai form.
Historically, Roma was sunk by the Luftwaffe as she, her sister-ships and other units in the Italian fleet attempted to sail to Malta to surrender to the British. Because of her real-life counterpart's fate, she is often portrayed as having a grudge toward German ship girls.
