Also known as: ルフトヴァッフェ
The aerial warfare branch of the combined Wehrmacht military forces of Nazi Germany during World War II. It replaced the World War I-era Luftstreitkräfte ("Air Force") of the Army and the Marine-Fliegerabteilung ("Naval Aviation Department") of the Navy.
Note that this tag can also be applied to the modern air force of Germany, as it has also inherited the name "Luftwaffe" from its predecessor.
