Musou Orochi original characters appear with the same primary design across all titles. Fu Xi (Musou Orochi) and Nuwa were characters in Shin Sangoku Musou 2, but appear as Musou Orochi mainstays with original designs. Fengshen Yanyi characters have also appeared in Koei's Musou-like Battle Houshin/Mystic Heroes.
Musou Abyss draws from the same cast in an isometric-style camera roguelike title. Musou Stars has a similar concept but takes characters from a broader range of titles.
