Captain America, real name Steve Rogers, used to be a skinny, short soldier who was given a serum during World War II that bestowed him with super human physical abilities above the peak of human potential. He is easily identified by his red-white-and-blue Superhero Costume and similarly designed circular shield which is made of Vibranium, a fictional metal that is rare and can reflect any and all attacks. During World War II and later, he would come to blows with the Nazi supervillain Red Skull, who would become his archnemesis.
He is one of the most recognizable members of the Avengers (Series).
