Also known as: ボディス, 紧身上衣
An outer garment for women, covering the torso from the neck to the waist.
The word bodice can describe several distinct garments:
- A low-cut, sleeveless outer garment, worn like a Vest over a Blouse or Dress, as a piece of traditional folk European Clothes.
- A Corset-like garment, often cross-laced, that also covers the Breasts.
- The upper part of a dress, excluding the skirt and sleeves.
