Also known as: ディアンドル
A traditional Dress worn in Bavaria, Liechtenstein, Austria and South Tyrol, based on the historical costume of Alpine peasants. An iconic outfit for female Beer servers during Oktoberfest.
A dirndl consists of a Bodice and Skirt or a Pinafore Dress, a low-cut Blouse with Puffy Short Sleeves, and a Waist Apron.
The position of the Apron Bow traditionally indicates a woman's marital status:
- Bow on left: Single
- Bow on right: Married
- Bow in middle: Virgin
- Bow in back: Widow (or waitress)
