Also known as: ティラノサウルス, ティラノサウルス・レックス, T-Rex
A large theropod carnivorous Dinosaur. Often referred to as "T. rex" for short, from the type specimen's scientific name Tyrannosaurus rex.
While there are at least five other species of Tyrannosaurus known to science, the type specimen T. rex is arguably the most popular species of non-avian dinosaur, stemming from the discovery of several complete fossil specimens, along with its depictions in media as an apex predator. Particularly in Jurassic Park.
Like other tyrannosaurids, Tyrannosaurus was a bipedal carnivore with a massive skull balanced by a long, heavy tail.
