Warabi

Also known as: 蕨, わらび

Japanese name for bracken, a type of large Fern, and its edible fiddleheads. Among the dishes that use warabi include warabimochi, a kind of Mochi that incorporates warabiko (bracken starch) instead of glutinous rice flour.
