Sanitization is a physical condition in the Splatoon (Series) series, introduced in the paid DLC of Splatoon 2, the Octo Expansion.
It is frequently featured on the campaign's Octarian (Enemy) and Takozonesu enemies. The affliction is not exclusive to them however, as non-hostile characters such as Acht have been Sanitized as well. They are shown to have a different coloration, depending on their "level of sanitization". Their skin is pale green/blue, they have Black Sclera with neon-blue pupils, and their hair has a blue color, sometimes with a green gradient.
