A female Mecha's name from the Transformers franchise that first appeared in an episode of the G1 TV series from 1984.
Nightbird is a sentient female Ninja or kunoichi giant Robot designed by a Japanese Scientist who was inspired by the Autobot designs. In the original cartoon she is silent and never utters a word.
In the original cartoon she does not possess variable geometry and thus can't transform, though later incarnations of Nightbird are typically given a Cybertronian origin, allowing her to transform. In Rise of the Beasts, her vehicle mode is a R33 Nissan Skyline GT-R.
