Soviet swing-wing Fighter Jet. Intended to be the successor of the MiG-21, its complexity of the swing wing gear prevented it from becoming a full replacement, merely supplementing the MiG-21 instead. Exported to a number of countries. Fought in the Iran-Iraq War and the 1st Gulf War. A ground attack variant of it became the MiG-27.
