A type of confection of French origin, traditionally made mainly from whipped egg whites and sugar which gives them a light, airy texture similar to Whipped Cream. They can be used as an ingredient or toppings of various Desserts like Lemon Meringue Pie or Baked Alaska, or baked into meringue Cookie.
