A Car produced by Lincoln (Company) from 1981 to 2011. The "Town Car" title was also used for the highest trim versions of the Continental before the standalone model, as well as the livery, Limousine, and Hearse variants of the MKT after it's discontinuation.
The Town Car was based on Ford's Panther platform, which it shared with the Ford Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis. While it was one of the most popular American vehicles for Taxi service like its sibling cars, its more luxury-focused features made it unfit for widespread police use.
