Kamen Rider (仮面ライダー), also known as Masked Rider, is a long-running Japanese Tokusatsu franchise created by Ishinomori Shoutarou and Toei Company.
The plot generally involves at least one main character who possesses the ability to transform and does battle with monsters and organizations that are somehow related to his origin.
Riders are typically identified by their insect-like features such as their Compound Eyes and Antennae. Other visual cues include intricate Rider Belts, Motorcycles, Henshin Poses, scarves, and the signature finisher, the Rider Kick.
