She has short Brown Hair with a Hairclips on her left, Brown Eyes, and a Fang. Her default outfit is the Special-Type's Serafuku (White Shirt, Black Sailor Collar, Red Neckerchief, black Pleated Skirt, Black Thighhighs), but with the addition of a "III" pin unique to the Akatsuki-class. The "III" is on the right side of her collar.
An excitable girl, she is often shown with her sister ship Inazuma (Kancolle). The two are extremely similar in appearance; having been laid down on the same day they are depicted as Twins. She is also often depicted as very doting to the Admiral (Kancolle), many a times spoiling them beyond help (her Pixiv nicknames "Loli-Okan" and "Useless Admiral Maker" refer to this side of her). Sometimes depicted as being clingy, to the point of being Yandere, leading to the nickname "Black Thunder" among the fandom.
