Also known as: H&K_G3, G3
The G3 is a West German 7.62×51mm NATO Battle Rifle developed by Heckler & Koch in the 1950s, based on the earlier Spanish CETME Model 58. It became the standard Bundeswehr service Rifle from 1959 until early 1990s. Utilizing roller-delayed blowback mechanism, and having major variants available with fixed buttstock or retractable metal one, its design also became the basis of other H&K Weapons such as the MP5 Submachine Gun.
This tag includes all existing variants of the G3 rifle, such as the accurized G3/SG1 for designated marksman purpose, the Swedish Ak 4, and more.
