Also known as: フォーミュラ3, F3
A class of single-seater racing cars, being considered as one of the steps before competing in Formula One. In this series, all drivers race in a same model of the car, utilising same model of the engine (usually naturally aspirated internal combustion engines with 260-340 HP output) and tyre compounds.
Unlike F1 and F2, the class does not have a single championship series. We can differentiate the series like FIA Formula 3 Championship, being a junior partner series to F1, and regional series, like Formula Regional series in Europe, Middle East, North America, Oceania and Japan. Also, an annually held Macau Grand Prix is ran according to Formula 3 regulations.
