Chile is a long and narrow country on the western coast of South America, situated between the Andes Mountains and the Pacific Ocean.
It controls the Pacific islands of Juan Fernández, Isla Salas y Gómez, Desventuradas, and Easter (Rapa Nui) Island in Oceania.
The country's capital and largest city is Santiago, and its national language is Spanish.
