The Adeptus Astartes (Space Marines) are a faction in Warhammer 40K. They are the genetically engineered, super-human warriors of the Imperium of Man.
The Adeptus Astartes is split into many chapters of a thousand marines. Each chapter has their own distinct appearance, and some differ quite a bit in terms of traits and tactics. Space Marines are known for wearing massive Power Armor, painted in their chapter's colors, and wielding Bolters.
