A type of Mobile Suit Mecha from the Gundam franchise. One of the more recognizable and iconic series of mobile suits from the franchise, sitting alongside the mobile suits inspired by the original RX-78-2 Gundam.
They are the preferred main mobile suit of Zeon, who served as the antagonists for most of the Universal Century timeline, and would be reused by various factions within it. They would also appear in other timelines too, such as Turn A Gundam's Correct Century as the Borjarnon, and Gundam SEED Destiny's Cosmic Era as the ZAKU Warrior and ZAKU Phantom.
Zakus are typically green and are One-Eyed. They may have spikes on one shoulder and a Shield on the other. It may also have hoses on the head, waist, and legs. The most common type of Zaku is the Zaku II, which debuted in Mobile Suit Gundam, specifically its Zaku II F/J variant.
