In the ancient past, Yohualtecuhtin was once an angel like Nicole (Genshin Impact), a race that Seelie (Genshin Impact)s devolved from due to Koitar (Genshin Impact)'s betrayal. After the War of Funerary Flame, she created the Night Kingdom under the guidance of Ronova (Genshin Impact) to help reconstruct Natlan's Ley Lines.

She is named after the Lords of the Night from Mesoamerican (Aztec, Maya (Culture)) mythology.
