Saburo is the second son of the Yamada family, a junior high school student, a part-timer at Yorozuya Yamada, and a member of Buster Bros!!!.
He has a genius IQ and a cheeky personality. He has a tendency to speak in a condescending manner towards those he sees as lower than him, but is honest with those he respects. He respects his eldest brother Ichiro and often competes with his other older brother Jiro for the position of Ichiro's right-hand man. That said, his bond with Jiro is strong. He never used to interact with other people, but recently has begun to gradually expand his circle of contact.
