A hidden alternate path in Deltarune which can be triggered during Chapter 2. The route begins after Noelle Holiday joins the party in Cyber City. It is considered to be a spiritual successor to Undertale's Genocide Route (Undertale).
To initiate it, the player must backtrack with Noelle toward the Trash Zone, then defeat all enemies using only her "IceShock" spell. The player obtains the “FreezeRing” through a scripted purchase event, then replaces it with the “Thorn Ring (Deltarune),” which reduces the TP cost for IceShock and lowers Noelle's HP to one third of her maximum. Equipping it changes Noelle's title to "Ice Trancer" with the description "Receives pain to become stronger."
The route culminates in a boss fight against Berdly (Deltarune), where the player can force Noelle to use a new spell, “Snowgrave (Spell)”. After this point, the route becomes locked for the remainder of the chapter. The Queen (Deltarune) fight becomes inaccessible, and Spamton NEO replaces her as the final boss.
Save files that complete Chapter 2 via this route are flagged and will trigger altered scenes and dialogue in Chapters 3 and 4. The route can be resumed and further consolidated during Chapter 4. While the player is in control of the SOUL, it is possible to sneak into Noelle's bedroom, take control of Kris and undo the damage control they did while they weren't under the player's control, terrorizing Noelle so badly this solidifies her Corruption by the player.
In Chapter 5, Kris sleeps in and misses most of the festival, until they are forced out of their bed by the player. After receiving bread from Sans (Undertale), they later meet up near the lake with a thoroughly broken and insane Noelle, who wants to do "something crazy"; crossing to the other side of the lake. The two enter the lake while Holding Hands. If the player continuously selects "Proceed", they wade further and further into the lake and begin Drowning, until the dialogue box turns red and the screen goes white. The screen cuts to a CRT display, with the words "Insert Chapter 7 Side B". If the player doesn't select "Proceed" fast enough after they start drowning, Noelle will sulk about how "Nothing changed" while the normal route scenes with Noelle and Susie play out.
Fanart of this route tends to depict Red Roses and thorned Vines imagery due to their association with the Thorn Ring and because the first version of the Weird Route's climax of the Chapter 4 depicted a symbolic red rose withering. This animation was changed shortly after the v0.0.086 update to avoid being misinterpreted as a reference to Defloration, with the final version depicting a red breaking effect which resembles both thorny branches and shattered glass.
