In Black Lagoon, Washimine Yukio is the heir of the Washimine Group, a yakuza clan that is suddenly without a leader. Yukio quickly finds herself caught in the middle of a deadly war between her yakuza rivals and Hotel Moscow, with treacherous elements within her own syndicate threatening to undermine her. Her sworn protector is Matsuzaki Ginji. When the Lagoon Company arrive in Japan, it is Okajima Rokuro who most sympathizes with her and seeks to free her from the life of crime, a mission that will cost him dearly.
