She is a contemporary of Gold Ship (Racehorse) and Gentildonna (Racehorse) and was the latter's fiercest rival in their classic races as she consistently finished second in the Triple Tiara, even almost winning the Shuka Sho, only losing by a nose. Verxina gained fame by being a double winner of the Victoria Mile.
She is the elder sister of Cheval Grand (Racehorse) and Vivlos (Racehorse).
