A series of animated films from the Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199 Military Science Fiction series.
They are a direct sequel to the Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2202: Ai No Senshi-Tachi TV series from 2018.
The first movie with the subtitle Part 1: Takeoff (前章 —TAKEOFF—, Zenshō Teikuofu, lit. "Opening Chapter: Takeoff") was released in October 8, 2021 and the second one with the subtitle Part 2: Stasha (後章 —STASHA—, Kōshō Sutasha, lit. "Closing Chapter: Anastasia") in February 4, 2022.
The new series is produced by Satelight and Staple Entertainment.
