Tigres U.A.N.L. (U.A.N.L. TIGERS) is a very popular legendary professional football Soccer sports club from the city of Monterrey, Mexico.
They are affiliated to the U.A.N.L. school (Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo León/ Autonomous University of New Lion) and are sponsored by several important companies of Northern Mexico (CEMEX, Berel, etc.).
Founded in 1960 as Club Deportivo Universitario de Nuevo León, the club adopted its current name in 1967.
Domestically, Tigres UANL has won eight Liga MX titles, three Copa MX titles and four Campeón de Campeones. Internationally, the club has won one CONCACAF Champions League, finished as runners-up in the 2015 Copa Libertadores, and reached the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup final, becoming the first Mexican and CONCACAF club to reach the final of a FIFA global competition. Subregionally, the club has won two Campeones Cup titles and one North American SuperLiga.
