A Crown-like semicircular head ornament, usually made of precious metals and adorned with Gems or other ornaments. Often worn by fantasy heroines, Princesses or pop Idols.
Compared to a Crown, the band of a tiara is usually narrow and shaped like a semi-circle. A tiara is normally worn on the top of the head, not over the forehead like a Circlet.
