A 1955 romantic comedy movie directed by Billy Wilder and starring Marilyn Monroe as an unnamed character (simply "The Girl" in credits), based on the 1952 three-act play of the same name by George Axelrod – who also co-wrote the movie along with Wilder.
It is best known for its iconic "Wind Lift" scene. The title comes from a phrase used by psychologists referring to waning interest in a monogamous relationship after seven years of marriage.
