A hard science fiction novel written by Andy Weir. Adapted into a film starring Matt Damon in 2015.
It follows the story of an American Astronaut, Mark Watney, who is left behind on Mars (Planet) after he’s presumed dead, and how he must attempt to survive until he can be rescued.
The story is notable for its strong scientific accuracy, such as how Watney uses human feces as fertilizer to grow potatoes in Martian soil.
