The game introduces a new character named Abby (The Last Of Us). It mainly follows a young adult Ellie (The Last Of Us) and her quest for vengeance after a personal tragedy, namely, the murder of Joel Miller by Abby, which was infamously leaked in early 2020, at the start of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
