Tamamo-no-Mae (玉藻前, 玉藻の前, also 玉藻御前) is a legendary figure in Japanese Folklore. Stories depict her as a nine-tailed Kitsune who acts as a courtesan or concubine to rulers, eventually leading to their downfall. It is also believed her spirit was embedded in the Sesshouseki.
