The main protagonist of Love Live! Sunshine!!. Chika is sociable and rarely gives in easily, deciding to form the school idol unit Aqours after being inspired by a μ's performance she saw. Her family runs a ryokan which is known for their open-air, ocean-view hot springs. She lives with her two older sisters, Shima and Mito. She and her sisters have a pet dog called Shiitake (Love Live!).
She has short, Orange Hair with a Side Braid (tied with a Yellow Ribbon) on the left side, a Clover Hair Ornament on the right, an Ahoge on top and has Red Eyes. She is childhood friends with Watanabe You and Matsuura Kanan.
