An American visual concept artist born in 1933, known for his mechanical designs in films such as Blade Runner (1982 Movie) (the Spinner (Blade Runner)), Aliens (1986) (the Sulaco Spacecraft), Tron (the lightcycles, digital tanks, solar sailer, and Sark's carrier designs) and 2010 (Book) (the Leonov spaceship). He also worked on the designs for the Turn A Gundam Mecha series and the aborted Yamato2520 (a sequel to Uchuu Senkan Yamato).
He died on December 30, 2019 at the age of 86.
