A first-person shooter game in the Star Wars series, first released for Xbox (Original) and PC in 2005. The game has players take command of Delta Squad, a team of elite Clone Troopers, and allows the player to give their squadmates orders.
A series of 5 novels and several short stories and comics based on the game's characters were released, with the first book released several months ahead of the game in 2004. A sequel to the game was planned, but was canceled in the concept art phase. This sequel would've been titled Star Wars: Imperial Commando, and the title was reused for the final book in the novel series.
Despite the original game and books being removed from canon after Disney's acquisition of the franchise, Delta Squad made a canon cameo appearance in Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008 Tv Series), and the concept of Clone Commandos has remained in the franchise through The Bad Batch and the playable Clone Commando class in Electronic Arts' Battlefront II.
