The design of the costume draws inspiration from multiple sources:
- Overall Concept: Based on the Joypolis Watermelon Sonic Plushie.
- Sunglasses: Identical to the sunglasses Sonic wears during his story's ending screen in Sonic Adventure.
- Shell Bracelet: First seen in Sonic X, Episode 9: "The Last Resort".
- Shoes: Directly replicates the Light Speed Shoes from Sonic Adventure.
