Also known as: 天使と悪魔(葛藤の表現)
A type of stock character that is used as a means of depicting a character's moral dilemmas. A shoulder angel is, most commonly, a small Angel appearing on a character's shoulder or beside their head to act as their conscience and guide them towards the right path. They can be pictured as a smaller version of the character or as another character, usually but not always with added Angel Wings and a Halo.
They are almost always accompanied by a Shoulder Devil on the character's opposite shoulder.
