Also known as: シャン・ツン, ShangTsung, 尚宗, 尚琮
A villainous character from the Mortal Kombat (Series) franchise. He is a dark sorcerer specialising in stealing other peoples' souls to prolong his own life (his most famous line is “Your soul is mine!”, which originated in the 1995 film) and shapeshifting.
He was played by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa(September 27, 1950 – December 4, 2025) in the 1995 film which he reprised his role in Mortal Kombat 11 and Chin Han in the new 2021 Mortal Kombat film. His current voice actor in Mortal Kombat 1 (2023) is Alan Lee.
