The Scythians (the ancient Greek language: Σκύθηςαι, Σκύθης) are Eurasian nomads belonging mainly to the Iranian ethnic group, called Saka, Sakae, Sai, Iskuzai, and Askuzai, also known as the Eastern Iranian language group, who were in these southern regions from the 9th century B.C.E. to the 4th century C.E. of the Central Eurasian steppes.
