An art movement based around the future as depicted by the people of the past. Retrofuturistic art tends to feature architectural and fashion design styles of the '60s and '70s, recently-obsolete technology, a focus on space exploration, rounded and freeform shapes, bright colors, and other elements common within depictions of the future throughout history.
On average, retrofuturistic art tends to have a more optimistic outlook towards the future, as opposed to the dystopian Cyberpunk depictions common in modern sci-fi.
