The Remington Model 1858 was an American, six-shot, single-action Revolver developed by Remington Arms, which served as one of many standard issue sidearms in the U.S. military. The revolver was well-liked by its users for its high accuracy, muzzle velocity and durability.
There existed many different variations of the revolver, all suited for different purposes. For example, the New Model Army and Navy revolvers.
