Redaction

A form of censoring text where portions of text are blacked or whited out or replaced with a word or phrase indicating such, such as "[REDACTED]". This is to allow the selective disclosure of information in a document while keeping other parts of the document secret. Commonly associated with the CIA and SCP Foundation documents.
