Queen of the Damned refers to the 2002 horror movie directed by Michael Rymer. It is an adaptation of the 1988 novel The Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice. The movie stars Aaliyah as Queen Akasha, who seeks out the Vampire Lestat (played by Stuart Townsend), who has recently reawakened as a member of a rock band.
Notably, the film is dedicated to Aaliyah as she perished in plane crash on August 25th, 2001, shortly afternfinishing filming her scenes.
