An android representing the Chinese QBZ-97 Assault Rifle, the export version of QBZ-95, in Girls' Frontline.
Type 97 has very very long Black Hair in Twintails and Red Eyes. Her normal costume consists of a White Shirt with black Double-Breasted Underbust, white Pleated Skirt, White Thighhighs, and black Boots as well as a black Cape.
Portrayed as a cheerful yet somehow childish girl eager for the outside world, but under strict guardianship by her older sister, Type 95 (Girls' Frontline). This reflects the real-world plight that the QBZ-97 never found itself popular in the civilian market as expected, due to its mixed reputation and import restrictions.
In the prequel spin-off game, Neural Cloud, Type 97 appears as Jiangyu (Neural Cloud), and she does so too in the sequel, Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium.
