A Doll of cloth or wood, which can be operated by a puppeteer by means of strings and cable or by wearing it as a glove.
If it's controlled with Puppet Strings, it's a Marionette. If it's worn like a glove, it's a Hand Puppet.
Some puppets have proper names like Shanghai Doll or Pinocchio (Disney Character).
