Also known as: PPSh-41, ППШ, ППШ-41, ペーペーシャ
The PPSh-41 (Pistolet-Pulemyot Shpagina; Russian: Пистолет-пулемёт Шпагина; "Shpagin machine pistol") is a 7.62×25mm Submachine Gun used by the Soviet forces during World War II. It was developed by Georgy Shpagin in mid-1941 as a simpler, lower-cost alternative to the earlier PPD-40, and it entered service the same year. The Weapon is commonly pictured with a 71-round Drum Magazine, while the 35-round curved box magazines were also widely used.
