Also known as: 胡椒, コショウ
A spice made out of Peppercorn drupes that are dried. The peppercorns may be sold whole so that they could be hand-milled by consumers in a Pepper Mill, or pre-milled so it can be dispensed in a Pepper Shaker. While black pepper is the most common color, other varieties exist such as white pepper, green pepper, and even pink pepper. More often than not, ground pepper causes people to sneeze because the piperine in pepper irritates the nose.
