About No (Gesture)

Gestures used to decline, reject, or otherwise tell the other party to stop.

Examples

  • "Iya iya iya" gesture. Waving the arm across the face, a Japanese gesture to mean "no" or "not right."
  • (Top right) "Cut it out" gesture, a slit throat gesture using the tips of the fingers across the neck.
  • (Top left) "Pass" gesture. Holding out a palm and turning the head away.
  • "Halt" gesture. Holding both palms out, may be combined with waving the hands.
