A fictional Assault Rifle from the 1997 movie adaptation of Starship Troopers. It is the standard-issue rifle of the Mobile Infantry.
The Morita is a Bullpup assault rifle with a large carrying handle (similar to the M41A Pulse Rifle from Aliens) and is chambered is chambered in 7.62 x 51mm. The standard variant is equipped with an integrated 12-gauge Underbarrel Shotgun, although a carbine version without the shotgun also exists.
As a prop, it was built around a modified Ruger AC-556, using the muzzle break from an M60 machine gun and an Ithaca 37 for the underbarrel shotgun.
