A short, unfolded, stand up–style High Collar on a Shirt, Jacket, or Dress. The style derives its Western name from the mandarin speaking bureaucrats in Qing-era China that employed it as part of their uniform. Changpao, Tangzhuang and China Dresses often feature a mandarin collar.
